River Road Ramblers

Up Ramblers Schedule

The RIVER ROAD RAMBLERS, formed in May 1992, were a traditional bluegrass band featuring vocal harmony and hard driving rhythm. The group played old standards as well as original renditions written by its band members. Members of the band lived along a forty-mile stretch of The Great River Road which runs parallel to the Mississippi River - hence their name. RIVER ROAD RAMBLERS performed at festivals, bluegrass shows, fairs and parties in southeast Louisiana and in Mississippi. They also appeared live on several radio stations including WWOZ FM and WTUL FM, and were featured on Cox Cable’s Louisiana Jukebox television show.

River Road Ramblers disbanded in January 2003 and no longer perform as a group.

The RAMBLERS recorded two CDs, "Big River Bluegrass" and "Muddy River", that can be purchased through this web site.

Band members were Ed Renald (Genois) - vocals, mandolin and Dobro®; Susan Schultz – vocals and fiddle; Rex Hall – vocals and guitar; Mark Hales – vocals and banjo; and Paul Davis – vocals and upright bass.
